Each year Columbus Regional Health Foundation holds a gala to benefit Volunteers in Medicine Clinic. This year's event, “Moving Forward Together,” is scheduled for Friday, November 8, at Clarion Hotel and Conference Center.
Guests will enjoy an evening of sensory extremes beginning with cocktails, an exquisite dinner, and music by Stardusters Music jazz band. The evening will be complete with a rousing Reverse Raffle that culminates in a $10,000 grand prize!
Event tickets, which include a raffle ticket, are $170 for individuals or $240 for a couple. Raffle tickets cost $100 each and only 500 will be sold. The grand prize raffle winner need not be present to win.
All event proceeds benefit Volunteers in Medicine Clinic, which relies on these funds for one-fourth of its annual operating budget.
“The Volunteers in Medicine clinic plays a vital role in this community. We are extremely grateful for the support we receive from the public to help us to continue to provide these critical services,” Abedian said.

Volunteers in Medicine was founded in 1996 and has served more than 10,000 patients. The clinic serves the medically uninsured in Bartholomew County. In 2012, the clinic served 847 patients, disbursed medications valued at $2.2 million and received $562,132 of donated medical services.
A dedicated group of volunteer physicians, dentists, nurses and community volunteers enable the clinic to offer every citizen access to diverse and far-reaching healthcare service. The clinic receives no tax dollars or subsidies from the government and relies on the generosity of our community to help keep the doors open.
