Heart disease manifests itself in varying ways among men and women. Although many of the risk factors are the same across gender lines, the symptoms are not. And women facing bypass surgery have an additional, unique set of factors to consider.
Dr. Sorin Pusca, lead cardiothoracic surgeon with Columbus Regional Health’s Heart and Vascular Center, hopes to arm women with the knowledge and support they need to identify heart disease risk factors and improve their outcomes after surgery in his upcoming presentation “Coronary Bypass in Women.”
The seminar marks the first of its kind lead by Pusca. The talk begins at noon, June 19, at Mill Race Center and will include a light lunch and a question-and-answer session. Seating is limited and registration is required.
