|Columbus - Columbus Regional Hospital Foundation recently announced the recipients of the 2011 Robert Borczon Memorial Scholarship. |
The 2011 recipients are: Robin Cartwright, Tina Johnson, Brandey Kendall and Nichole Patrick.
The Borczon Scholarship was established to encourage CRH employees to further their education in healthcare. It is in memory of Robert Borczon, a former CRH administrator and champion of education for hospital employees. Each recipient will receive up to $2,800 in scholarship funds. Awards are based on financial need, personal essay and interview, community activities, and academic performance.
Robin Cartwright, BSN, Emergency Department/Cardiac Cath Lab, will start classes this fall in Ball State University's nurse practitioner program.
Tina Johnson, Information Services Department, has worked at CRH for 23 years. She is working on a degree in business information services at Indiana Wesleyan University.
Brandey Kendall, BSN, Emergency Department, is in a program to earn a master's degree in nursing at IUPUI.
Nichole Patrick, ASN, Breast Health Center, earned her associate's degree in December 2010 and will begin work toward a bachelor's degree in business management at Trine University this fall.
