9/9/2010 Director - Information ServicesSHIFT/SCHEDULE: This is a full-time, salaried position, mainly scheduled Monday-Friday office hours. However, there is 24/7 accountability for the entire Information Services division. SUMMARY: The Director of IS serves in the role of associate CIO and assumes the IS responsibilities of the Vice President/CIO in his/her absence. This position is the strategic partner of the VP/CIO in the maintenance and ongoing development of a long range strategic IS plan. The Director represents the organization in a variety of external Community organizations and initiatives. Under the general direction of the VP/CIO, the director directs and provides leadership to an integrated team organized to deliver comprehensive Information Systems to meet the strategic goals of Columbus Regional Hospital and affiliated organizations. In the provision of these services the director will develop, execute and monitor progress against budgets and agreed-upon service levels. This position is also responsible for the full range of the system development lifecycle (SDLC) of all information systems at CRH. The director is accountable to work with the service line, support and patient care leadership team members to insure that CRH systems support and further the CRH initiatives to provide excellence for the 5 pillars of excellence, people, service, quality and safety, growth and innovation and finance. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Master's degree strongly preferred, with 6 years progressive experience in managing a complex IS services organization. Bachelor's Degree required, with 10 years related management experience preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and management experience may be considered.
