Commitment. Compassion. Innovation.
Columbus Regional Health's Breast Health Center is committed to the Fight Against Breast Cancer. That's how we approach every day and it shows. The Breast Health Center, for example, was the area's first provider of digital mammography, and has been awarded a three-year accreditation in breast ultrasound by the American College of Radiology (ACR), an award given to healthcare facilities for achieving the highest quality standards in breast ultrasound.
We were also the first hospital in the area to offer a Breast Health Navigator Program to support our breast cancer patients. The navigator nurse is a helpful resource and warm, familiar face to assist throughout breast cancer treatment and recovery, allowing the patient to focus their energy on health and recovery. All nurse navigators were trained, educated and certified by the national Educare organization in Breast Healthcare Navigation.
Breast Cancer Diagnosis and Treatment
Breast Cancer treatment can be physically and emotionally draining. We understand the special fears and anxieties women have about mammography and breast cancer. Here you will never feel like a number. The atmosphere is relaxed and we'll meet with you in private consulting and exam rooms. If you need a screening mammogram you can be seen within one week. Diagnostic mammograms can usually be scheduled within 24-48 hours and if a biopsy is necessary, it can often be performed the same day. We believe in being swift for your well-being and peace of mind.
