Cancer specialists working together to provide the very best cancer treatment for you.
The Columbus Regional Health Cancer Center makes it convenient for you to obtain comprehensive, state-of-the-art diagnostic and cancer treatment services without having to travel to a large metropolitan facility. The Cancer Center provides advanced radiation and chemotherapy services within the same center to make it as convenient as possible. We provide cancer treatment in both outpatient and inpatient settings.
Our Cancer Center team includes board certified radiation and medical oncologists, board certified radiation physicists, certified oncology nurses and certified radiation therapists. The Cancer Center is also supported by a multidisciplinary team including a social worker, certified cancer registrar, registered dietician and full-time oncology pharmacist.
We are accredited by the American College of Surgeons' Commission on Cancer. Approval by the Commission on Cancer is given only to facilities that have voluntarily committed to provide the best cancer diagnosis and treatment. Only one in four facilities nationwide receives this recognition.
Each year, The Columbus Regional Health Cancer Center performs nearly 12,000 chemotherapy and/or radiation treatments for nearly all forms of cancer. Each patient's care may include a combination of any of the three major treatment types - surgery, chemotherapy, and radiation. If a patient undergoes surgery to remove a cancer, an approach of chemotherapy and radiation may be used to prevent the spread of cancer or a recurrence.
