Columbus Regional Health Employee Donor Spotlight

CHRIS WOOD has been employed at CRH for 21 years, and has given to the Foundation each of those years.  She gives because she likes knowing that she has helped others in some way.  Chris said she gives to the Foundation because, “I can see how CRHF gives to the community and to the hospital departments.  When CRH started a recycling program, CRHF helped get the containers, and they helped many co-workers during the flood of 2008. So donating is my way of giving back.”  Chris also likes being able to see where her donations are going, and that she can choose where they go.  As a grandmother of 4, she chooses to support the Birthing Center because “it is important for expecting parents to receive all the education and help they need.”  She supports diabetes education because she lost a sister to the disease and it helps her to know that someone’s life may be improved or even saved because of the diabetes education they receive at CRH that her gifts helped make possible.  Chris believes that “you don’t have to give much to go a long way.”
