"It is her true calling, and she was a thousand blessings to me when I really needed her"

Please share your story of why this technologist is so special:

"I was a patient on 3T a few weeks ago. After three nights of ER visits battling terrible constipation, I was afraid and in agony. I was admitted and underwent a sigmoidoscopy. While waking to some relief, I was still distressed, though, as this was my first overnight hospital stay. Daj hugged me and told me words I continue to repeat to myself today: 'All is well.' I cannot tell you what her presence meant to me. All of the nurses and techs I met during my brief stay were fantastic, but her easy manner and brightest of smiles stand out. She made me feel like everything was going to be ok, and, thanks to her, it was. She didn't make me feel bad or self-conscious. Instead, she was pleasant and efficient, making it look unbelievably effortless, and made me feel very cared for. She's so very capable but so very compassionate - doing what needs to be done but still putting me as her patient first.

l asked her what her beautiful name means and when she told me 'blessing,' I could not imagine something more fitting. It doesn't take long to realize that she doesn't see her job, while valuable, as simply a career. For her, it is her true calling, and she was a thousand blessings to me when I really needed her. I think it takes a very special kind of person to work in healthcare, and to really do it well, and fortunately for CRH and your patients, Daj is one of them."
