ASTHMA SPECIALISTS
Exhaled nitric oxide testing monitors airway activity and allows us to more effectively test for asthma symptoms, levels, and incremental response to asthma treatment. Although not always necessary for an asthma diagnosis, it is a useful tool to ensure your diagnosis and asthma action plan is correct.
Although asthma cannot be cured, asthma control is possible to successfully to reduce and prevent asthma attacks, also called episodes. Successful asthma management includes knowing the warning signs of an attack and understanding asthma attack symptoms, avoiding things that may trigger an attack, and following the advice of your healthcare provider.
For those with severe asthma, the highest dose of standard medications may not alleviate frequent and life-threatening asthma attacks. For adult patients with this form of asthma, a Bronchial Thermoplasty procedure may be appropriate.

At Columbus Regional Health, we have an assessment group comprised of five different medical specialties collectively known as the Lung Nodule Review Board.
The Lung Nodule Review Board meets weekly to review lung screening CT scans of patient cases. This gives our patients the advantage of having multiple specialists all working together to provide in-depth knowledge and diagnosis, as well as the best quality care and treatment options available.
