Many providers and support staff have volunteered, worked additional shifts, and changed their schedules to offer assistance at our two Respiratory Clinics.

These clinics have a rotating staff of 27 providers and 60 support staff. After first calling the Columbus Regional Health COVID-19 Triage Resource Center (812-379-4449), patients who have specific symptoms are referred to the clinics.

The clinics are seeing an average of 60 patients every day, with more than 520 seen since the first clinic opened on March 13.

Due to the progression of the COVID-19 pandemic across the United States, the decision was quickly made to transform two existing practices into respiratory clinics.

These clinics were both up and running in a short time period due to the dedication and hard work across our health system.

“The staff are outstanding. The cooperation it took for all of CRH and CRHP to come together to get these up and running was truly a wonder,” said Primary Care Director Jeryll Macdonald.

“I am humbled and extremely proud of our CRHP staff who unselfishly stepped up and are manning these clinics.

It is my hope that, by swiftly transforming these sites of service, we are doing our part to stem the flow of patients to the hospital.”

We are grateful for the many team members who helped set up and are running these clinics to support the health and wellness of our community.
