Cummins employee Courtney Imlay has organized a Meal Train for CRH workers on the front lines at the hospital and respiratory clinics.

Imlay, who herself once worked for CRH, has two close relatives who are current CRH employees, and she wanted to find a way to give back.

Meal Train allows the community to sign up to pay for meals from community restaurants that are then delivered to recipients.

"Over the last few weeks since the Coronavirus Pandemic really took effect in the Columbus, IN community, I have been thinking and praying of how I could make an impact to help the essential workers here in my community," Imlay wrote on her Facebook page.

"I heard on the news that an individual in Indianapolis had created a Meal Train to provide meals for essential employees at the hospitals in Indianapolis. I thought that’s it -I could create one to provide meals for essential employees at Columbus Regional Hospital in the critical needs departments."

Imlay partnered with CRH Director of Volunteer Services Rebekah Walsh to set up the fund.

"It is time that we all step up and give back to these essential employees that are putting their lives on the line each day," Imlay wrote. "Let's show them that we really appreciate their work and what they are doing to STOP this virus."

The Meal Train begins Wednesday, April 15th, and will initially run for two weeks.
