Columbus Regional Health initiates base-wage increase across health system

Effective October 24, 2021, Columbus Regional Health will increase the minimum starting wage to $15 an hour throughout the organization.

Pay ranges with minimum rates that are currently below $15 per hour will be adjusted to a new minimum of $15 or greater. Employees with current pay rates of less than $15 per hour will receive pay increases to ensure their pay rates are $15 or more.

The wage increase serves to support existing employees and remain competitive in recruiting new hires. “Columbus Regional Health is committed to a compensation philosophy that recruits, motivates, rewards and retains highly talented team members,” said CRH President & CEO Jim Bickel. “It is one of the benefits, among other programs, we utilize to attract and retain the talent and skills we need to serve our patients.”

The minimum wage adjustment will directly affect more than 580 employees and result in a $1.7 million additional annual investment in the workforce.
