Convenient access to screenings that can save your life.
Early diagnosis is critical in the treatment of gastrointestinal cancer and other GI ailments, especially when you consider that colon cancer is the most commonly diagnosed non-skin cancer in men in the United States. With safe, accurate and convenient endoscopy & colonoscopy screenings at our Endoscopy Center, problems can be detected earlier, and treatments can be started sooner for better results.
Colonoscopy and Endoscopy Procedures
The American College of Physicians recommends a screening colonoscopy for men and women beginning at age 50, and earlier for people at greater risk. During a colonoscopy, a colonoscope is inserted through the rectum to view the large intestine and rectum. With an endoscopy, an endoscope is inserted through the mouth and down the throat to view the esophagus, stomach and upper small intestine.
Treating a wide range of digestive disorders.
We offer innovative testing and treatment for many common digestive health issues, including:
Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease (GERD)
Heartburn is a classic symptom of GERD, but you may also experience frequent burping or belching, difficult or painful swallowing and a frequent need for antacids.
Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS)
An abnormal reaction to certain substances or to stress, IBS causes abdominal cramps, bloating, gas, constipation and diarrhea.
A change in the lining of the esophagus caused by the acid reflux that occurs with GERD. The changed lining is not cancer, but can lead to it.
This painful inflammation of the stomach lining occurs after eating certain foods. Symptoms include burning in the upper abdomen, pain, gas, belching and nausea.
Difficulty Swallowing (Dysphagia)
Symptoms include difficulty or pain swallowing, chest pressure, vomiting after eating or drinking, fatigue and weight loss. It could be a sign of a more serious disease.
