Biography
Iyabo Olatunde, M.D. joined Sandcrest Family Medicine in 2023.
Born in Nigeria, Dr. Olatunde’s family moved to Indianapolis when she was 9 years old. While she missed her friends and family, Dr. Olatunde said she was excited to meet new people and learn a new culture.
From a young age, she developed an interest in science and how the body worked. That curiosity led her to Purdue University where earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Cell and Molecular Biology with a minor in psychology.
She attended medical school at the American University of the Caribbean School of Medicine, St. Maarten. Dr. Olatunde completed her residency, with a concentration on maternal and child health, at Ascension St. Vincent Family Medicine in Indianapolis.
Dr. Olatunde said she loves family medicine because of the variety of care and because she is able to treat patients in all stages of life. She said she feels blessed to be able to be close to her family in Indianapolis.
In her free time, Dr. Olatunde enjoys traveling, reading and spending time with her extended family and her husband Ola and their young daughter.
