Welcome

Our practice is devoted primarily to seniors. A geriatrician is a physician who specializes in older adults. Not every older person needs a geriatrician, but the federal model estimates that 30 percent of the over-65 population does.

Seeing a geriatrician is not age-specific. Biological and chronological age is not the same:

  • Do you have 4 or more chronic conditions?
  • Do you feel like you take too many medications?
  • Can you get around easily at home and outside home?

If you answered yes then consider seeing a Geriatrician. Seniors exhibit unique symptoms and tolerate treatments differently compared to younger individuals. We have the expertise in age-related physical and mental health conditions.

We focus on the whole patient, with a comprehensive view about health, medical care and the quality of life. Geriatricians not only monitor and coordinate treatment for the health conditions requiring many medications, disabilities and frailties, but also help patients determine what’s most important for their well-being and quality of life.

Our aim is to keep you as independent as possible.

Appointments

To schedule an appointment, please call our office at 812-376-9601 or 800-675-9601.

Please explain the reason for your visit. This allows us to schedule the appropriate time needed to address your healthcare concerns. For your first visit, please arrive 15 minutes prior to your appointment time so that we may obtain the information required for establishing your care.

  • Each visit bring your insurance card with you as well as a list of your current medications.
  • Please inform the front desk staff of any change in name, address, telephone number, employment or insurance.
  • Always inform your health care provider of any changes in medical history.

If you have an urgent need to be seen, please call as soon as possible, and we will try to accommodate you. We do our best to stay on schedule, but emergencies may sometimes cause unexpected delays. You play a major role in helping us stay on schedule. If you are running late, please phone before you come, as we may ask you to reschedule your appointment so that our other patients are not inconvenienced.

Please extend these courtesies to others in our office: no smoking, no perfumes. Please turn off your cell phone when in the exam room.
