More than 44,000 patients receive emergency care in our Emergency Department each year by our board-certified emergency medicine physician specialists and a team of registered nurses, emergency technicians and support personnel with specialized training and certification.
Stroke and Chest Pain Care
We’re especially focused on heart attack and stroke care when every minute can make a difference in the outcome. Our door-to-treatment time in the emergency room for heart attack patients exceeds handily the national standards set by the American Heart Association.
Ambulance and Air Medical Services
Emergency care often starts away from the hospital with a “911” call. Our Ambulance Service is staffed by skilled paramedics and emergency medical technicians for 24/7 response. We have 38 Paramedics, 8 advanced emergency medical technicians and 26 emergency medical technicians on staff. There’s a reason why city and county officials selected Columbus Regional Health Ambulance Services to serve the emergent needs of the community and surrounding areas. Emergency services receives an average of 198 “911” calls per week with an average call response time within Columbus city limits of 5 minutes and 15 seconds, and an average response time outside Columbus city limits of 11 minutes and 56 seconds.
We also have emergency air medical services available through LifeLine Critical Care Transport.
