Biography:Dr. John Chambers in an Orthopedic Surgeon who specializes in adult and pediatric spine surgery for scoliosis, trauma, disc surgery, lumbar fusion, cervical fusions and degenerative conditions.Dr. Chambers began his studies in Chemistry at Eastern Kentucky University and received his Medical Degree from the University of Louisville in 1992. He completed both an internship in general surgery and his residency in orthopedic surgery at the Medical College of Georgia. In 1995 and 1996, Dr. Chambers served as a certified ring physician for United States Amateur Boxing.Before joining Southern Indiana Orthopedics, Dr. Chambers was associated with the Leatherman Spine Center/Spine Institute for Special Surgery in Louisville. His research and writing of orthopedic and spine topics has resulted in publications and presentations at major meetings.Dr. Chambers' interest include outdoor activities, such as skiing and bicycling.
