Support Groups

Support groups are an excellent source of information and encouragement for people facing life-changing situations. Columbus Regional Hospital hosts a wide range of free support groups to meet the needs of our community. Beginning Again

An eight week grief support group helps adults cope with the loss of a loved one. Meets at Hospice, 2626 E. 17th Street, Columbus. Dates and times vary. For more information call 812-314-8042.

Bereavement Support Group: Wings for the Journey

"Wings for the Journey" helps grieving parents and family members cope with the loss of a child. Meets at First Baptist Church, 3300 Fairlawn Drive, Columbus on the third Tuesday of each month from 7:00 - 8:30 p.m. For more information, call 812-378-0955.

Better Breathers

The Better Breathers Club (BBC) is a support group, organized through the Columbus Regional Hospital Lung Institute and the American Lung Association of Indiana, for adults with chronic lung disease. Club members share their experiences, knowledge, ideas and strengths to improve the quality of their lives. Meetings include expert speakers, video presentations and roundtable discussions. Brain Injury Support Group

This support group provides a forum for brain injury survivors, their caregivers and loved ones to meet and make connections. Meets at the Bartholomew County Public Library, Room #3, 536 5th Street, Columbus on the first Tuesday of each month from 6:30 - 8:00 p.m. For more information, call 812-375-3685.

Multiple Sclerosis Support Group

This group provides a time for sharing, education and support for multiple sclerosis patients, their families and friends. Parkinson's Support Group

A support group for Parkinson's patients and their caregivers. Meets at Silver Oaks Health Campus, 2011 Chapa Drive, Columbus on the fourth Monday of each month from 5:30 - 6:30 p.m. For more information, call 812-376-5373.
