Ellison appointed to CRH Board of Trustees

Columbus -   The Bartholomew County Commissioners have appointed Zack Ellison to serve on the Columbus Regional Hospital Board of Trustees. Ellison replaces Tom Lentz who retired from the board in December after 16 years of service.

Tom was appointed to the board in 1997. His father, the late William Carr Lentz, served on the hospital board from 1956 to 1963. A resident of Bartholomew County since 1941, Tom is a farmer in Flatrock Township. He and his wife, Marilyn, have three children.

“Tom has been an active, engaged and passionate Trustee during his 16 years of service to Columbus Regional Hospital. He cares deeply about patients, the hospital and this community,” said Jim Bickel, CRH president and chief executive officer. “Tom was a tireless advocate for creating the very best workplace culture. He was a firm believer that an engaged and fulfilled workforce was the key to providing exceptional patient care.”

Zack Ellison has been appointed to a four-year term. Ellison serves on the Bartholomew County Board of Zoning Appeals, is active in veterans affairs and is a graduate of Purdue University with a degree in mechanical engineering. He retired from Cummins at the end of 2012.

Current Columbus Regional Hospital Board of Trustees members include Zack Ellison, Dr. Rick Shedd, John Nash, A.H. “Hutch” Schumaker, Don Michaels and Tracy Souza.
