Columbus Regional Health is opening a new location called “WellConnect” in downtown Columbus. WellConnect will offer a different approach to health and wellness. The center offers an opportunity to connect with wellness experts, healthcare professionals and others with services as:
- WellConnect Classes offer ways to support a healthier lifestyle and reduce stress, ranging from pilates and fitness classes, to cooking demonstrations and health education sessions.
- WellConnect Care Center provides a range of services from minor illness care to travel medicine, without the need for an appointment. The Care Center is staffed by a nurse practitioner and physician’s assistant. The Care Center can assist guests with finding a primary care physician to care for ongoing medical needs.
- Connection Specialists will answer questions related to health and wellness and help people navigate across their health needs by connecting them with the most helpful and relevant resources and services.
Additional services may be offered at WellConnect based on the growing needs of the downtown area.
“We have purposefully created a modern, comfortable environment at our WellConnect location that is unlike a traditional healthcare experience,” says Jim Bickel, Chief Executive Officer at Columbus Regional Health. “Our goal is to provide the very best healthcare across our health system, and WellConnect is a new approach based on the needs of those working and living in downtown Columbus. We have designed WellConnect to be a place where people can easily connect with classes and services for their health and wellness.”
WellConnect opens December 12. Hours for the center will be Monday – Friday, 7 a.m. – 7 p.m. For more information, visit www.crh.org/wellconnect
