BACON-WRAPPED BREAD STICKS

Ingredients:

8 Slices turkey bacon
16 garlic–flavored bread sticks (about 8 inches long) or pretzel rods
3/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley (optional) or garlic and herb seasoning

Steps:

  1. Cut turkey bacon slices in half lengthwise.
  2. Wrap half slice of turkey bacon diagonally around each bread stick.
  3. Combine Parmesan cheese, parsley and garlic and herb seasoning, if desired, in a shallow dish; set aside.
  4. Place 4 bread sticks on double layer of paper towel in microwave oven.
  5. Microwave on high (Full Power) 2 to 3 minutes or until turkey bacon is cooked through.
  6. Immediately roll bread sticks in Parmesan mixture to coat. Repeat with remaining bread sticks.

Makes 16 servings
