February, 2023 - Amy Fisher

Please share your story of why this technologist is so special:

“As a travel tech, I have grown used to Imaging techs (at the hospitals I am assigned to) treating me a certain way. And, it isn’t always kind or friendly. Amy was one of the first Techs I met at CRH once I began my travel assignment here. I found her to be welcoming and ready to help me with whatever I needed to be successful at CRH.

Amy currently works the night shift, which is a shift that not too many people like to work. No matter how tired she might be, Amy is upbeat, personable and compassionate with the patients. Working night shift can be a struggle because you are working by yourself for the most part. And, some really difficult patients tend to show up and need imaging on the night shift.

Amy handles all of this with ease. She is extremely efficient and a great multi tasker. Amy has a lot of knowledge about CRH, both CAT scan and x-ray and Columbus, Indiana in general. Lastly, Amy always shows a lot of initiative. She never hesitates to help me with patients, complete my exams in EPIC, OnePacs, etc. or pitch in and assist the ED staff.

And, you can just tell that ED and ICU staff have a genuine affection for Amy because of the time and effort she has put in to build good working relationships with them. As I have traveled around the state of Indiana, working with a lot of different Imaging techs, I have not found anyone to be quite as kind, welcoming and friendly as Amy Fisher. I hope CRH appreciates her and realizes what a valuable asset she is. "
