Surgery Preparation
If you are scheduled for surgery with Columbus Regional Health, your surgeon orders a pre-admission testing visit. An appointment is made at your convenience three to seven days prior to surgery. During this appointment a nurse reviews your personal surgery instructions and completes a nursing assessment. Blood work, EKG, chest x-ray, and any other necessary tests are also completed.
Through pre-admission testing, our surgical services team provides a less stressful time for patients and family members to get answers to questions, receive information, and have testing done before the day of surgery. Our team focuses on creating a comfortable and positive experience for our surgical patients.
