"Gracie Bay is one of the awesome care techs on 2T! Recently Gracie was feeding a patient in a patient room near the nurses station. We heard an urgent-sounding call for a nurse, then immediately heard an assist alarm and found Gracie with a patient, loudly stating "he's choking." The patient was unable to speak. With the help of other staff, the patient was lifted out of the chair and given the Heimlich maneuver. The elderly patient began speaking and thanked Gracie and those in the room for helping. Gracie's quick thinking saved this patient from a worst-case scenario.

Gracie acted promptly to save a life and care for him and others throughout the day. Again, 2T has amazing techs who care for our patients on a daily basis! Gracie stood out this day for her quick action! Gracie is graduating this year from the Ivy Tech LPN program and is looking to continue her nursing career and with Columbus Regional Health! Thank you, Gracie! I am so proud of you and all you do for our patients and being a great team member on 2T!"
