Q: I do not have health insurance. Who can help determine if I am eligible for health insurance through the Affordable Care Act Marketplace?

A: Navigating the ACA Health Insurance Marketplace can be challenging.  Columbus Regional Health WellConnect Connection Specialists are available over the phone to make it easier for you by helping to answer questions, determine eligibility, and assist with enrollment.

Our Connection Specialists offer assistance with navigating the ACA Marketplace to residents in Columbus and the surrounding communities. Sara Bishop, Jes Montgomery, and Kristi Stewart are licensed Indiana Navigators ready to help you.  All of our Navigation services are provided free of charge. 

Though the “open enrollment period” for the ACA Marketplace has typically been held annually November through December, a second opportunity is now available for 2021 enrollment. With the recent Executive Order enacted by President Biden, HealthCare.gov recently opened the ACA Marketplace on February 15 for a “special enrollment period” to run until May 15, 2021.  This will give individuals who are not eligible for employer-based insurance, Medicaid, or Medicare an opportunity to sign up for Marketplace health insurance.
