Outpatient laboratory to relocate, expand hours

Outpatient laboratory services at Columbus Regional Health is moving to a new location on the hospital main campus, expanding hours and streamlining services to better meet patient needs.

Beginning May 15, the outpatient laboratory will be open from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Friday and 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturdays in the new space located just southeast of the hospital cafeteria, just across from VIMCare Clinic. In the new space, laboratory services will offer a digital check-in kiosk in the waiting room. After check in, each patient will be escorted by a phlebotomist to a private patient room where registration, laboratory orders and specimen draw will be conducted.

Outpatient laboratory services will continue to offer its FastLab option for next-day lab appointments. FastLab appointments may be scheduled between the hours of 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. Monday through Friday. 

Patients may schedule their appointment by calling 812-375-3718 or 1-800-841-4938.  They will pre-register at the same time, making their visit quick and convenient.
