Columbus Regional Health offers low-cost heart scans
Columbus Regional Health is pleased to offer coronary calcium scans (CT scans) of the heart for $10 (normally $49) through the end of June. A CT scan is a noninvasive test that uses X-rays to detect and measure the amount of calcium in the walls of your coronary arteries.
To be eligible for a heart scan, patients must be between 40 and 79 years of age with one of the following risk factors:
• Family history of heart disease, stroke, and/or vascular disease
• Smoking
• Diabetes
• Obesity
• High blood pressure
Screenings are conducted at Columbus Diagnostic Imaging. A fee of $10 will be collected at the time of the test and will not be submitted to insurance.
