CRH physician recognized with community service award

Columbus Regional Health is pleased to announce The National Kidney Foundation of Indiana (NKFI) awarded CRH physician Dr. Deepak Jasuja with its Distinguished Community Service Award for 2022.

Each year the nonprofit organization selects individuals and corporations who have made significant contributions in the fight against kidney disease and their efforts to work towards the foundation’s mission of improving the health and wellbeing of individuals and families affected by these kidney and urinary tract diseases and increase the availability of all organs for transplantation.

The Foundation awarded Dr. Jasuja at its annual meeting in early January.

“Dr. J, as we fondly refer to him, is a key factor in assisting the foundation in developing a new virtual kidney education program that we are specifically designing for southern Indiana,” said National Kidney Foundation of Indiana Chief Executive Officer Margie Evans Fort. “Dr. J makes himself available for any question, no matter how simple or how complicated and helps us to find solutions. He has been wonderful to work with and the (NKFI Board) was very happy to recognize his many contributions in a time when medical professionals have so much demand on their profession with COVID illnesses.”

About NKFI
NKFI was founded in 1970 to better serve Hoosiers by raising awareness about the dangers of kidney disease, funding research, advocating for kidney patients, and developing programs to make life better for kidney patients and transplant recipients.
