Columbus Regional Health is pleased to offer coronary calcium scans (CT scans) of the heart for $49. CT is a noninvasive test that uses X-rays to detect and measure the amount of calcium in the walls of your coronary arteries.

To be eligible for a heart scan

You must be between 40 and 79 years of age with one of the following risk factors:

  • Family history of heart disease, stroke, and/or vascular disease
  • Smoking
  • Diabetes
  • Obesity
  • Taking hypertension medicine
  • Taking cholesterol medicine

To be eligible for a heart scan, you must meet certain age requirements.

You must also meet one of the following risk factors. Please check all that apply.

Lastly, it is important for you to know that an eligible patient may receive a heart scan only once every five years unless a physician orders it. Scans are performed at our facility in Columbus, Indiana.

A fee of $49 will be collected at the time of the test and will not be submitted to insurance.
