Biography 

Dr. Hani Shamseddeen is a board-certified internal medicine physician and gastroenterologist with a special interest in hepatology and liver disease research. Originally from Lebanon, he moved to Indiana in 2018 to pursue research at Indiana University. After completing his training in internal medicine and gastroenterology, he and his wife made Indiana their home and were drawn to the strong sense of community at Columbus Regional Health.

Dr. Shamseddeen is passionate about providing high-quality, patient-centered care and treats a wide range of gastrointestinal conditions. In addition to his clinical work, he has been recognized for his contributions to liver disease research, including receiving the AASLD 2021 Emerging Liver Scholar award.

Outside of medicine, Dr. Shamseddeen enjoys working out, biking, and listening to music.
