Karen Minton, FNP-C

Karen was drawn to the nursing profession after hearing her grandmother’s stories of her own nursing career and the compassion she had for others. Karen began her career in healthcare at age 16 as a certified nursing assistant.

During her nursing clinicals for her MSN degree, Karen spent two semesters at PromptMed. She learned from the clinicians in the office and found the team to be welcoming and friendly. She enjoyed the variety of patients, fast pace, and felt that she was able to help improve the health and well-being of patients.

As a nurse practitioner, Karen enjoys the constant change, critical thinking, and hands-on experience with patients from all age groups, including infancy to geriatrics.

Outside of work, Karen enjoys outdoor activities with her family, including camping, traveling, and hiking. She also enjoys making homemade wine, baking, and cooking.
