Dr. Jain chose to practice nephrology because he enjoys learning how the kidneys interact with other organs and helping patients manage their kidney-related conditions. His approach to patient care is to see the patient as a whole person – not as a symptom or organ – and to connect the nephrology condition with the person. He emphasizes education in his approach to help the patient understand their condition and to ensure a shared decision-making process. He works with other specialties and follows evidence-based guidelines to help the patient reach their goals in the healthiest way possible.

Beyond managing chronic and acute kidney conditions, Dr. Jain is interested in onconephrology, a new subspecialty of nephrology that recognizes the important intersections of kidney disease with cancer. He is also working on earning an AI in clinical medicine certification.

Outside of work, Dr. Jain enjoys spending time with his wife and teenage daughter. He stays active by playing tennis, pickleball, and other sports. He also enjoys traveling, listening to music, and reading.
