Amparo Caudell is a Community Health Worker (CHW), L1 diabetes paraprofessional, certified DPP instructor,and Bienvenido instructor (to improve the mental health and quality of immigrants, to teach advocacy, and empower immigrants for service in their community). She collaborates with the diabetes/endocrinology team in providing direct care and support to adults with diabetes. Amparo remains active at the local and state level to advance the practice of diabetes care. She is active in community outreach and is a board member of the Purdue Extension Office, Latino Education Coalition, and Proyecto Salud.
