Prior to becoming a certified registered nurse anesthetist, Shantal cared for patients as a registered nurse at Columbus Regional Health in the areas of medical/surgical, endoscopy, and critical care. She feels privileged to be able to continue serving her community by delivering compassionate, high-quality anesthesia care.

Born in Mexico and raised in the Chicagoland area, Shantal is a fluent Spanish speaker. She is also a certified medical interpreter.

In her free time, Shantal enjoys spending time with her family, reading, playing sports, staying active, and traveling.
