Columbus Regional Health Wound Center received the distinguished “Center of the Year” award from Healogics®, a national leader in wound healing and a network of more than 600 wound care centers across the nation.

Columbus Regional Health Wound Center is one of only six centers across the country to receive the Center of the Year designation for 2019. CRH Wound Center provided specialized treatment to more than 777 patients in 2019, often preventing amputations and helping patients return to active lives. Leading edge treatments at the Center include negative pressure wound therapy, total contact casting, bio-engineered tissues, biosynthetic dressings and growth factor therapies.  The Center also offers hyperbaric oxygen therapy, which works by surrounding the patient with 100 percent oxygen to help progress the healing of the wound.

“The clinical and administrative staff at the CRH Wound Center is honored to be recognized as the Wound Care Center of the Year,” said Frank Hawes, Wound Center program director. “We have long taken pride in offering the most comprehensive wound care available to our communities in central and southern Indiana. Some patients drive more than an hour to receive wound care at CRH, which I’ve always attributed to the level of care our staff provides as well as the variety of health services available in Columbus.”
