Chia Pudding Recipe
Chia seeds are a whole-grain food that is naturally gluten free. These tiny seeds pack a powerful nutritional punch and are among the healthiest foods on the planet. Try this chia pudding recipe.
Ingredients
1 cup unsweetened almond milk
3 tbsp. chia seeds
1 tbsp. honey
1/2 tsp. vanilla extract
Topping: fresh or frozen fruit, cinnamon
Instructions
In a medium-sized bowl, whisk together almond milk, chia seeds, honey and vanilla extract until well combined. Divide into two custard cups. Let sit in refrigerator for at least two to three hours or overnight.
Per Serving
Serves two. Each serving is ½ cup and provides about: 170 calories, 9 g total fat (1 g saturated fat, 0 g trans fat), 0 mg cholesterol, 85 mg sodium, 18 g carbohydrates,
6 g fiber, 9 g sugars and 5 g protein.
Note: For instant pudding, add 1 additional tablespoon chia seeds. It will set in 15 minutes.
