Greensburg Student Sews and Donates Blankets to CRH for Moms and Babies

Kiley Swango, who is the daughter of CRH Financial Counselor Deanna Swango and an eighth grader at St. Mary's School in Greensburg, recently sewed and donated blankets for expectant mothers and babies at Columbus Regional Health.

Her work was part of a STEAM project for the school's eighth-grade class. Kiley said the students were asked to involve the community in the project to make it service-oriented. She chose to sew blankets, learning to sew from her best friend, Alaina. Kiley earned the money to purchase the blanket materials by babysitting. She sewed and donated a total of 13 blankets to Columbus Regional Health. "It was a great project since I was able to give back to the community and learn how to sew," Kiley said.

Thank you to Kiley for her generous donation and for supporting our organization!

Workforce Spotlight: Vivian White, RN, Nursing Resources

Photo of Vivian and Pat White in garden.

Vivian White joined CRH 23 years ago after working in her local school system while raising four sons. When her youngest son was a senior in high school, she started studying for her Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) degree. Upon earning her ASN, she applied to CRH. “Columbus Regional took me under their wing when I had no experience. They oriented me, and they made me the nurse that I am now,” Vivian said.
