Columbus, Ind. – Columbus Regional Health is pleased to welcome Andrew “Andy” Guz, MHA, as its next President and Chief Executive Officer, bringing more than two decades of healthcare leadership experience and a strong track record of operational excellence, quality advancement, physician and provider engagement, and strategic growth.

Guz officially assumes the role on July 1, 2026. He succeeds Interim President & CEO, Jim Bickel following his upcoming retirement from a distinguished 35 years of leadership at CRH.
“We are thrilled to welcome Andy to Columbus Regional Health,” said Don Michael, Chair of the Columbus Regional Health Board of Trustees. “Following a comprehensive national search, it was clear that Andy is the right leader to guide our organization forward. He brings an outstanding combination of strategic vision, operational expertise, and a deep commitment to community-based care that aligns perfectly with our mission and values.”
Guz has served in executive leadership roles in more than five states, including Indiana and looks forward to returning to the area. Most recently, he served as Chief Executive Officer of Manatee Health and Manatee Memorial Hospital in Bradenton, Florida, where he led a regional healthcare network that includes a 300-bed acute care hospital, freestanding emergency department, imaging centers, physician practices, and home health services.
During his tenure, the organization achieved significant operational and financial growth, expanded cardiovascular and robotic surgery programs, recruited physicians across key specialties, and improved quality and patient experience outcomes. Guz’s leadership philosophy focuses first on culture, safety, and quality, while leveraging strong operational discipline to support long-term financial strength and reinvestment in patient care and community health.
“I am honored to join Columbus Regional Health and serve alongside an exceptional team dedicated to delivering outstanding care,” said Guz. “Columbus Regional Health has built a strong reputation for quality, innovation, and community commitment, and I look forward to partnering with physicians, employees, board members, and community leaders to continue advancing that mission.”
Guz earned a Master of Health Administration from Cornell University and a Bachelor of Business Administration from Marshall University. He has also served on numerous civic, healthcare, and economic development boards throughout his career. Guz and his wife, Tami, have two daughters.
“Andy is a collaborative and transparent leader who understands the importance of strong relationships,” added Michael. “We are confident that under his leadership, Columbus Regional Health will continue to thrive as an independent, high-performing health system.”
